Sunday, October 21st, 2007

Coming of the bye week, the Wolfpack decided to put the first half of the season behind them and consider the last six games on our schedule a new season. So, on opening day the Pack scored a 34-20 victory over ectc in Greenville to move to 1-0 in the second half, 2-5 overall. The Wolfpack got off to a quick start opening up a 21-0 lead. The first was a 37 yeard touchdown pass from Daniel Evans to Darrell Davis (a red shirt Freshman). On the very next offensive play from the pirates, there was a fumble and the Pack jumped on it! On the very next play Evans found John Dunlap for a 21 yard score and the Pack was up 14-0. The second quarter brought more points for the Wolfpack as Jimmy Sutton came off the edge and blocked a punt with bounced right to JC Neal for a 20 yard return for a 21-0 lead.

Turnovers Doom Pack, Again

Monday, October 1st, 2007

It was another tough Saturday afternoon at Carter Finley Stadium. The Wolfpack fell to the visiting Cardinals from Louisville 29-10. The Pack had several chances to score points but turnovers cost them the game. Two Harrison Beck picks, one Beck fumble, and two Andre Brown fumbles came at really bad times. And to make matters worse there were more injury issues for the Pack. Starting quarterback Harrison Beck got hit and injured his shoulder in the third quarter. He did manage to stay in for one play and complete a deep pass to set up the only Pack touchdown of the day, but then his day was over. Daniel Evens caped the lone touchdown with a pass to Ced Hickman. So we will move on from the this loss and look forward to the FSU game on Saturday.

The injury report was released today and of course Harrison Beck is out with an AC separation. That means that Daniel Evans will be the started with Justin Burke as the back up. On a positive note, Daniel Evans is 1-0 as the starting quarterback against FSU!!!
