GoPack.com: How much did you know about them coming into the fall practice?

Swepson: When we played against them last year, they both had two great runs. I remember Andre had a touchdown run that was very special. I remember Toney had a long run down the right sideline. I remember thinking ‘Wow.’.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Gavin Grant has been allowed to continue forward with his application for permanent residency. This announcement closes the book on the possibility for Grant to be deported, which I’m sure lifted some weight off of Coach’s Lowe’s shoulders.

Grant’s lawyer, Anna Baird Choi, said his application for a green card was held up after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents initiated removal proceedings in October 2005 that could have resulted in Grant’s deportation.

I had the feeling this was going to happen, but at the same time, you never know what might happen in this hearings. Now that this is behind Gavin, let’s hope he’s allowed to focus on basketball and help take this team to the next level, the place many of us believe that belong now.
