Go Pack!

Walk Off!!!!!!!!

Friday, May 18th, 2007

It was a nice night for baseball at the Doak tonight. The Pack was going for a second straight against #14 Clemson and early on it looked like a pitchers duel. The Wolfpack starter Eric Surkamp started strong striking out the side in the first inning on 11 pitches. Clemson got on the board first with two runs in the fourth but Mike Roskopf hit a two run homer in the bottom half to tie the game at 2. Tommy Foschi got into the long ball act with a solo shot over the left filed wall. Clemson also had a two run homer and the game was tied going into the bottom of the ninth, but not for long. Dallas Polk hit a walk off home run on the first pitch of the bottom of the ninth inning giving the Pack a 6-5 win. It was an exciting game and a very nice crowd. The Wolfpack goes for the sweep tomorrow at 1 pm.

A quick note about mens tennis. You can catch the elite eight match against Baylor live on the computer by following the link on gopack.com at 9 am. Good luck to the Pack and let’s keep this thing rolling.
