ECU Preview

Not much to preview for this game. The Pirates are struggling this year as they have in the past, but they are an opponent and I do have time to do research to see what they are made up of.

The Pirates come in with a 4-6 record and on a 5 game skid including a 19point loss last Saturday to Winthrop(9-3). They averaging 54 points per game while giving up 53 points per game. Through 10 games Darrell Jenkins, a Junior from Marietta, Ga. comes in as the leading scorer with just 12.8 points per game and 33 mins. The Pack should try to work the ball around away from John Fields a Freshman from Fayettville’s Jack Britt who comes in averaging just over 3 blocks per game.

I don’t see this game or the two after it to be much of a challenge. Just a time for us to fine tune and give Atsur some rest before ACC play begins on the 6th. I look for the walk-ons to get some PT the next 3 games, we have only seen 1 so far this year, #45 Justin Clark, and I would like to see him again, not to mention the football players that are now on the roster.

Other Thoughts: I have been impressed with Ferguson personally. I know he had a couple of silly turnovers last game, but I think he is defiantly a huge help to Sidney and his shallow bench.

If you can’t make it to the RBC Center over the next week, then find a sports bar and beg for ESPNU, I know I will!
