Pack Wins Again

The Pack returned to action on Saturday night in Raleigh for a homecoming game against a ranked Virginia team. The offense picked up right were it left off in Greenville last week with Daniel Evans topping last weeks performance with 347 yards and three touchdowns. Donald Bowens came up big with 202 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. It was the first time that Bowens had topped the 100 yard mark in his career at NC State. Eugene was effective rushing the ball with 112 yards on 23 carries.

The offense line played very well considering two starts were out due to injury. They managed to keep Virginia best player Chris Long in check. The defense continued to put pressure on the quarterback and came up with two interceptions. Three field goals by Hauschka helped propel to Pack to its second straight win.

Overall the Pack stands at 3-5 (1-3) while handing the Cavilers 7-2 (4-1) their first conference loss. Up next for NC State is a trip to Miami next Saturday for a 12:00 game with the Hurricanes.
