2006 Leading Receiver to miss 2007 Season
It was announced earlier today that Anthony Hill would miss the entire 2007 season. Hill went in for a diagnostic procedure this morning after twisting his knee a couple of weeks ago. The doctors then decided it would be in his best interest for complete knee reconstruction.
“This is a difficult loss for our football team and for Anthony personally,” said O’Brien. “But injuries are a part of the game so we need to try to look at the bright side. He still has a redshirt year so he should be able to have a successful rehabilitation period. The extra semesters will also help him achieve his goal of attaining his degree before pursuing what will hopefully be a long career in the NFL.”
Anthony will be extremely missed on offense throughout the season. He was not only our leading receiver last season, but also played a vital role in our running attack as a great blocker. It will be interesting to see how whoever starts at QB will handle this.
Even though this is a bad situation, I guess we have to look at some bright spots. Another kid will get a shot to play that might not have, not to mention Hill will be able to stay in school a little longer and hopefully finish off his degree!
We wish you the best Anthony, and if there is anything PackontheProwl can do for you, just let us know!
